Situated in the city of lakes , Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2 , Bhopal first started in August 1994 . This ideal centre of education, is a unit of an effective and well knit organization of “Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan”, under the ministry of Human Resources Development, Govt. of India. Due to its glorious history and great achievements, it has always been in the forefront of the Bhopal Region. In the past few years, it has grown rapidly in every field and got appreciation from all sides.
The total strength of students is 1640 with 51 learned teachers on roll and running 3 sections school with commerce and science stream. The school is located in the heart of the city, near by HABIB GANJ railway station which is hardly 500 meters in distance. The lush green campus encourages a vital relationship with nature and it pulsates the pace of information technology as well as Indian art & culture.
1. The genesis of the KV. : It originated on 01/08/94.
2.Important Milestone of Growth:- It started from class I to VIII,later upgraded to class IX and so on upto class XII on
yearly basis.
3.Gradual Year wise Expansion in classes & sections leading to present status:-Vidyalaya started in the year 1994
with 2 sections upto class VIII in each class,later year by year increased class IX & X in the same way.In the year
2005 this Vidyalaya has been strengthened with the 3 section school.Now presented with class I to XII.
4. Details of Previous and new Campus:- Vidyalaya was startedwith the existing Campus later some shades are taken
over the possession by KVS.Presently in the same Campus new Secondary Building is being constructed.
5.Facilities available including Games & Sports Facilities:-Vidyalaya is having well maintained Gymnaseum with all
Necessary equipments. Vidyalaya has Bad Minton (Outdoor) and Table Tennis(Indoor) facilities.
